It may be that no one understands the connection between our friends south of the border and their admirable ability to grow a supreme mustache better than Matt Heath. He created Cinco de Mustache, a phenomenon that has taken the Stache world by storm and gained a following of over 1,300 people on Facebook within a few weeks. He also created hi
s very own mustache (a derivative of his attempt at a beard) and his own personal lady following (want proof? ------>)Originally from Pleasant Hill, Oregon but currently residing in Los Angeles, Matt and a friend came up with the idea to start a Facebook group to unite those with staches in honor of Mexico's biggest holiday--- Cinco de Mustache was born.
Since then, Matt has become a mini-stache celebrity being recognized in random bars as the "Cinco de Mustache" guy and gaining media coverage, including an interview on L.A.'s K-Earth 101 radio station, which will air on none other than the day that inspired it all: Cinco de Mayo. Check out and join the Cinco de Mustache Facebook group here.
Most important though-- aside from the recognition, the wise beyond his years idea (he's only 29) or the flock of women that surround him for a chance to simply get a glimpse at the bristles grazing his nose-- Matt has found a sense of self-worth within the Stache. "I've developed an even deeper thirst for whiskey and beer, I crave cigarettes when I never did before, and any and all music must be blared gratuitously loud." It doesn't get better than that.
When in Stache doubt, remember this: Whether you're a native of Mexico or an honorary mustachio'd member on the fifth day of the fifth month of every year, the answer always is you most definitely Mexi-can. Viva el bigote!
By the way, from the "picture this" request
posted above, is this what you were envisioning?
Hijole! You should be ashamed of yourself.
